Kitting:

UFC Aerospace is a leading provider of aerospace “kitting” solutions. We have been supporting our valued customers with kitting services for over 25 years. Kit contents can range anywhere from 2 line items to thousands of line items. Kits are customized and often sequenced to our customer’s specific application. All kit components are individually bagged and labeled to ensure complete manufacturer lot traceability. Our kits include various types of aerospace fasteners and components including complex structural components such as bulkheads.

JIT Programs / Consignment:

UFC manages an array of aerospace fastener and consumable JIT programs. We provide our customers with bin replenishment services utilizing an automated inventory and supply chain system. These programs require UFC to create a license plate for each bin for scanning purposes when parts need to be replenished. Most programs operate as a traditional “Kanban” system whereby UFC stocks each customer bin with 2 bags each with 1 month of forecasted demand. As each bag of parts is consumed, UFC personnel scan each bin to trigger the replenishment cycle. Our JIT programs are supported with a local Forward Stocking Location (FSL) generally located on the customer’s site or at a local facility. Bins are replenished within 24 hours from the original scan and sooner if so required by the customer. As an additional service, UFC will consign material to the customer’s bins and bill customer based on consumption.

Point-of-Use Supply:

To further customize our inventory management services, UFC will provide kits and JIT bins to the customer’s specific point-of –use. By doing so, we eliminate the cost and effort for production and repair personnel to retrieve parts from a central location or bin racking area and instead we bring the parts directly to the specific point-of-use.

Third Party Logistics / Acquisition:

UFC can support customers with their acquisition and logistic requirements. We have managed programs where we have put on-site procurement personnel at customer’s facilities to source, procure, and expedite customer parts requirements. In addition, UFC provides part logistic services for customer furnished material including warehousing and related delivery support services.
